Splice Creative’s ongoing work with Rosedale Funeral Home has been aimed at developing a more personal side to their marketing and communications. Rosedale is an independent family business offering a personal service to bereaved families in South Norfolk and North Suffolk.
Following an audit of existing advertising, we were able to develop a more consistent appearance to communications with subtle changes to the company’s logo and layout. Using carefully chosen photography and testimonials from clients, newly designed advertising makes much more of a personal connection with the reader while taking into account the sensitivities involved.
We were also keen to increase awareness of what a funeral director’s role involves. One example of this was a press release about one of the youngest female funeral directors in the country who had recently joined one of Rosedale’s branches. We provided information about her to local news outlets who ran a number of features about her work with Rosedale and what makes her job special.
Anne Beckett-Allen, Director of Rosedale Funeral Home said: "What I love about working with Splice Creative is that they don’t try and take over and do everything, they work alongside us and do as much or as little as we need them to, or as much as we can afford them to."
"Some of our smaller, low key releases we do ourselves, but when we have a really important story to sell or something that we think has the potential to reach a really wide audience, that’s when we go to Kerry and Mark."
"The first press release they ever did for us generated so much coverage we were blown away. One of the local newspapers sent out a photographer, we had significant coverage in our local and regional newspapers, as well as an interview on the local radio drive time show."
"They have great professional contacts which they know how to utilise and they don’t just send out the release, they are very efficient at the preparatory work and following things up afterwards as well."
"They designed a series of adverts for us, which we were very pleased with and did all the negotiations for placing them too, saving us a whole load of admin work when we were really busy."
"They also happen to be very competitively priced and lovely people that are a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend them."
We have also created Rosedale Funeral Home a new look for its website in 2019. The aim is to enhance the wealth of helpful information available and make it much easier to find, as well as bringing the look and feel of the site up to date. The new website features new, easy to navigate sections on arranging and planning funerals with comprehensive guides to the help and support, including dealing with loss and planning your own funeral.
We are pleased to have also retained a number of the familiar sections of their old website, including the Tributes and Donations section and news about their work in the community as well as the local groups and charities they support.
